Curating of performances
For the opening of the Antidote 4 exhibition and the introduction of new retail space for luxury goods at the Galeries Lafayette, the Galerie des Galeries invites I COULD NEVER BE A DANCER to create a program of performances that were either conceived for the occasion or reactivated, and which take place in the shops themselves.
Louis Vuitton and Celine boutiques:
Caroline Lemaire designs a time-space fantasy that materializes for the space of an evening in aesthetic and evocative tableaus.
Comme des Garçon and Azzedine Alaïa boutiques:
Vanessa Le Mat offers up an original performance inspired by the notion of “mismatch,” or how the assembly of things that don’t belong together brings new forms into being.
Yves-Saint Laurent boutique:
An adaptation of P.A.D. by Ioannis Mandafounis & Fabrice Mazliah, a virtuoso duo as playful as they are rigorous, whose physicality and technique service an incessant exploration of the architecture of the body, its relationship to space and its perception.
Changing room at the Dolce & Gabbana boutique:
I COULD NEVER BE A DANCER performs an adaptation of their piece The French Paradox with Olivier Mathieu (see The French Paradox).
